I had the honor of working on Portal with RTX alongside my talented colleagues at NVIDIA.
My main task, with the fantastic Derk Elshof, was to bring Portal's classic materials to 4k PBR with feedback and direction from Valve, Vern Andres-Quentin, and Hunter Hazen.
Here I showcase Part 1 of a selection of materials I built up from scratch in Substance Designer trying to translate as much as possible from the original 512px texture files.
